The Man Cave

Finally, I was able to get the pictures taken and uploaded. So here is my Man Cave, or as it is called around here, "Shadow's Lair," because Shadow is my nickname and the alias I often use on the net. Click on the pics for Super Size versions.

This one shows my office from the hallway. Yes, that is a GINO (Godzilla in name only) and Pikachu occupying the top shelf. The rest is all my old D & D and role playing stuff.

Here we see my desk. Note the stuffed Scooby in the foreground. He will feature in all the pics as a point of reference.

This one shows one of my bookcases. These are all my science fiction and horror paperbacks. The fantasy books occupy equal space in a different room.

I took the closet doors off and put this older dresser inside. It's filled with CD's and VHS tapes.

Below you can see Sandrine Liliane AKA Sandy, one of our two Pembroke Welsh Corgis.

Finally, a close up of my desk with some of the compartments open, revealing reference books, snacks, booze, notebooks, my ipod and other things. The DVD/VCR combo is connected to the computer for screen and video capturing. In the floor under the desk is a mini fridge filled with Cokes. The blue binder on the shelf holds copies of all my rejections.

Summing it all up, I am pretty much a big kid. :)

Good sweet nancy, that is a thing of beauty. It's like a writer's paradise.

My bookshelf seems so small and sad now : (
Ah well, some day I'll have money for a big one!

Pretty sweet! Like the ambiance that all the books provide. My mother used to raise that type of dog.

WOW! I am in full-on bookshelf (and toy) envy here! Your lair is a thing of beauty, and nice and spacious too!

And your dog is adorable. My aunt has two corgis and they're great little guys. :)

Six more: damn, that is an awesome space.

By the power of Greyskull...

I'm in awe...and envy. What a lair. That, sir, truly deserves the moniker, MAN CAVE.

Now that is a man cave. I am in bookshelf awe and feeling rather claustrophobic in my little room.

I'm thinking you might have been a librarian in a past life. What stunning neatness. I think I would be tempted to sneak in in the middle of the night and re-arrange books (grins evilly)

Man Cave my ass - that would need retitling to the writers penthouse. That is friggin huge!

I've always marveled at the old movies where the actors go into the library and you see the walls lined with bookshelves and those filled with books - and thought, yeah, one day after I've won lotto - but you already have it!

Your desk has more bench space than my kitchen, and a fridge under the desk, no excuses for getting up from the chair.

Nat may have won by posting a video, but you win on size alone.

I suddenly feel very impotent next to your display of awesomeness. Thank god my digital camera is broken...
